By Matt Yunker Some of Cleveland’s less fortunate had the opportunity to meet several Browns players Tuesday as Melvin Fowler, Andre King, and Antonio Garay visited The Salvation Army’s Harbor Light Complex in downtown Cleveland. During the visit, each player passed out socks to everyone in the complex and also took time to sign autographs and get a few pictures taken. The socks, totaling over 4,000 pairs, were donated by the Cleveland Browns in response to The Salvation Army’s needs due to the cold winter and spring months. After the going floor to floor, the day concluded in a community room, where Fowler, King, and Garay got to hang out with some children, which ended a very cheerful day. About the Harbor Light Complex The Harbor Light Complex is part of The Salvation Army, an ecclesiastical, charitable movement that is dedicated to caring for the poor. Harbor Light offers a second chance to people by providing opportunities and support necessary to achieve self-sufficiency. |
